TROUT & OATCAKE
Flakes of home smoked rainbow trout over rocket & radiccio salad with home made oatcakes and almond & rosemary aioli.

Have the chefs gone mad? They've decided to enter the Shepperton Village Fair Raft Race - sponsored byNauticalia. Ably run by Desborough Sailing Club - this is a mighty event! Theme for 2009 is Countries of the World - no debate here, we'll be going as good old Blighty. Slightly more tricky is quite how we define Blighty on a raft? Current thoughts tend towards some kind of oversize suet pudding, maybe with custard...
Trevor has decreed that full sets are compulsory on the day so shaving is banned for the foreseable.
If you fancy entering a team yourself entry forms are available here.

FAST CAKE

Sent in by by our good friend Charles Moore of...
Charles inhabits a world where the word "can't" just does not exist - you want a freshly baked cake in under 5 minutes? Here's how! The sharp eyed amongst you will have immediately realised that our recent tentative steps into the 21st century web-wise world might just have something to do with Charles... and you'd be right. We'll probably never move as fast as Charles would like, we're English after all, and we like to pause for tea!
